17.462mm High-hardness Silicon Nitride Ceramic Balls
⚙️product description:
Material characteristics: The main component of the 17.462mm nitride silicon carbide ball is nitride silicon. Its density is approximately 3.25 grams per cubic centimeter, which is about 59% lower than that of steel. It has extremely high hardness, with a Vickers hardness of up to Hv 1400. It has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and self-lubrication properties. It has a low thermal expansion coefficient and a maximum working temperature of up to 1200℃.
Performance advantages: Compared to steel balls, the elastic modulus of the 17.462mm nitride silicon carbide ball is 44% higher than that of steel, resulting in less deformation when subjected to force; it has higher hardness, with a Rockwell hardness of Rc up to 78; the friction coefficient is low, and it is easy to achieve extremely high surface finish, with Ra reaching 4-6 nanometers; it can withstand temperature fluctuations and still has high strength and hardness at 1050℃.

Production process: Usually, silicon nitride powder is processed through forming, sintering and other techniques to produce spherical products. Then, through precise processing, its dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and other indicators can meet the corresponding standard requirements.
Precision grade: The common precision grade of ceramic balls is G10. Balls of different grades have different indicators such as diameter variation, deviation from spherical shape, and surface roughness. Nitride silicon carbide balls with a diameter of 17.462mm can be produced with different precision grades according to the requirements.
⚙️Application fields:
silicon nitride ceramic balls can be used in the aerospace industry to manufacture high-temperature bearings, seals, etc.; in the automotive industry, they are used to manufacture bearings, nozzles and other components of engines; in mechanical manufacturing, they are used to manufacture mechanical seals, bearings, tools, etc.; in the petrochemical industry, they are used to manufacture valves, pumps, pipelines, etc.; they can also be used in the power, environmental protection, and biomedicine industries.
